Thank you for visiting our website!
Founded in 1990, The Colorado Breastfeeding Task Force is a volunteer organization comprised of physicians, nurses, public health officials, nutritionists, dietitians, lactation consultants, counselors, and members of the business community who have led the way for Colorado children to be breastfed at the highest rates in the nation.
The CBTF works closely with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children to reach communities which have historically had low breastfeeding rates
Our Mission: To ensure optimal health and development of mother/infant bonding by increasing Colorado breastfeeding rates, particularly among underserved populations.
Colorado law states in legislative declaration 25-6-302:
"A mother may breastfeed in any place she has the right to be."
See CBTF legislative section for more information.
